'Fashions fade, style is eternal.' - Yves Saint Laurent

Hey guys,
Sorry about the absolutely gigantic gap between my posts I ordered a notebook to jot down all my ideas for the blog. I thought I was going to be a little Charles Dickens, my ideas would be that good. However, Amazon didn't agree and haven't sent my notebooks yet. So thanks a lot for that Amazon.
Anyway I thought I would do a list of Top 5 whether that be music, stylish men so this week I am going to list my:
Top 5 Stylish Actresses (in order of course)

5.                                                         Chloe Mortez
Not only is she a great actress but she has great style and is stunning. I think the fact that she is so young but is still able to maintain the line between looking stylish and being youthful is just a testament to her great style. It just seems so effortless not like other people (I'm looking at you Kylie Jenner)

I love the way she rocks the neon trend normally I don't really like black with neons I feel that it moves dangerously into funeral territory but she works it
Hello to the 60s I think the 60s style is hard to work with you don't want to look like you thought that it was fancy dress the stripes on the sleeves kept it modern and the shape of the dress is super flattering on her.
One word FLAWLESS. The colour, the peplum and the hair!

4.                                                                   Emma Stone

Emma Stone has a great personality I mean her obsession with the Spice Girls is so cute and endearing. If you haven't already you should see her on the Graham Norton Show when she thought that she was going to meet all the Spice Girls. It was hilarious. But, Emma regularly slays on the red carpet , I love her red hair. The thing about coloured hair is that you can use it as an accessory, you could wear the plainest , dullest ugliest dress but with bright red hair it is transformed.
Not many people can pull off this kind of yellow it makes pale girls looks sallow while tanned girls look like they have a serious case of jaundice but Emma is able to make it work. I love the shape of the dress it emphasises her waist and it gives a sense of romanticism with the flowiness but is still well fitted around the rest of the body.
Not enough people wear green! We should make a green revolution it is such a great colour. Yes it may have connotations of sick but what about the forest?  The fact that Stone's hair is kind of auburn prevents her from looking like Christmas and the cut outs makes sure that she hits the line of sophisticated and sexy.
This is Stone in custom Thakoon  know I love this outfit. The different shades of pink added variety but was still super flattering. The crop top and the slit were able to show a hint of flesh while still being classy and her hair. I die every time.

3.                                                                Aishwarya Rai

Back to my Indian roots for this one. One of the most beautiful women on the planet I mean she won Miss World for gods sake! Or it could be Miss Universe but whatever she won something bigger then  Miss Coventry; it's good enough for me. I love how she is able to marry East and West together while not showing all her goodies at once. Also if you don't follow her on Instagram you definitely should, she posts great pictures about her humanitarian efforts- very inspiring stuff.

Cannes 2014. Robert Cavalli. Aishwarya Rai. I think this is what we call perfection. Look at that dress it looks like the things of Gods. Her beauty game is totally on point as well.
Firstly I love the hair it stops her from looking boring or old. The dress is beautiful but could look netting but the hair keeps it fresh and vibrant. I also love the colour I am a sucker for the cornflower blue it is so pretty and can be easily styled but it isn't a bog standard boring colour.

This is a perfect example of East meeting West. If anyone else wore this I would be like " The tailors called they want their curtains back". But it looks great on her she is able to make me look at the patterns in detail and it is just rich and frankly breathtaking.

2.                                                                  Diane Kruger

Once a Chanel model Kruger knows how to work the red carpet. Apparently her husband helps her to pick out her outfits. Do I buy that? Of course not but it doesn't detract from her great style. I feel that she is underrated when you think of red carpet fashion Kruger doesn't immediately jump into peoples mind. I think she should be, she has literally go the fashion down to a science ( hey how you doing blog name reference)

EDIT: Just seen a picture of her husband he is hawt... maybe he does help her with her outfits seems like he knows his style

Metallics have been a massive trend for ages and ages and ages. I love the draping effect of the dress it is able to mould to her body and it gives her such a great silhouette.

It's so girly, I love it! The applique flowers shows the real craftmenship that has gone into the dress, I love the length though the fact that it is quite short stops her looking frumpy and I liked how she paired it with black accessories and went for a monochromatic look. I hate when people are like "I NEED COLOUR, GIVE ME COLOUR". You don't always need colour and I think that Kruger shows this perfectly.
YES. YES. YES. The lilac and look at those ruffles and flowers. I don't think that anyone could pull this off except for Kruger. I love how she paired the dress with lilac shoes if she wore black it would have just sucked the colour out of the whole outfit.

1.                                                                    Lupita Nyong'o

The queen has entered. My pick for number one has literally made no mistakes ever. She is flawless, not only does she wear clothes like her life depends on it , she is such an amazing actress if you haven't watched 12 Years A Slave please go do but it is harrowing not for the faint hearted I'll tell you know. If you didn't hear about Lupita Nyong'o and her fashion during the awards season you were probably living under a rock , with Patrick in Bikini Bottom.  Lupita is just so stylish I am struggling to form any coherent sentences. So without further ado I present to you this flawless queen. (Last little thing- go watch her interviews especially on Ellen never heard a more articulate and intelligent woman in my life)
The Oscars. Look at that powder blue. I just felt like she looked like a princess I was really worried because Lupita was able to smash it at all the other awards but I didn't want her to fall at the last hurdle but she leaped and bounded over it. Looking at the dress now I didn't know how deep the cut was but she pulls it off with such sophistication.
This is the first time I saw Lupita and I was literally like "Shit". The cut outs are just done so tastefully and so that we are able to see Lupitas' great figure. I mean those arms how many press ups? I desperately wanted a dress like this for prom but of course the fashion gods were against me- to see what I actually wore check out my prom post.

She was wearing a red cape and she looked like this. If I did this I would look like a dodgy superman. The red is great against her skin and she doesn't look like a part of the carpet.

Hey guys I hope you enjoyed this post sorry it was so long but I had a lot to say. Do you agree with my list? Keep in mind it was only actresses I'll be doing musicians etc. later. If you have any suggestions I will definitely use them.

Hope you're having a good summer

  1. I absolutely love all of them! My favourite in general would probably be Kate Hudson and Blake Lively, it's so hard to pick a favourite! The ones you chose are also stunning with a great taste. I absolutely love the dress Lupita wore to the Oscars!
